Kanata Grizzlies Peewee A Charge to win 2010 Peterborough Tournament PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 25 January 2010

The Kanata Grizzlies brought in the New Year with a tournament win as one of eight teams in the Peterborough Tournament on January 9th, 2010.

The Grizzlies defeated teams from Georgina and Northminster to gain a berth in the finals against hometown favourites from Peterborough, whom they beat 4-2.

During the tournament, the Grizzlies scored 11 goals and had only five goals scored against them, thanks to spectacular goaltending by both Matt Sandell and Doug Mathieson.  MVP honours for the day’s games went to Terrence Poon, Hollis Holmes and Sean Sullivan.
Overall, the Grizzlies had a wonderful team experience and left the tournament with many great memories.
